Yet her story is banned from being screened in her birth country, Georgia. Only because she is trans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The film\u2019s unique visual style and the director\u2019s intimate approach reveals Adelina\u2019s sensitive inner world. Her voice speaks for all those who feel alienated, rejected, and unfixable. Nevertheless, she dares to tell her story in public and creates space for understanding for those like herself. Even if her story could not be told in her birth country Georgia, where LGBTQ+ \u2018propaganda\u2019 is forbidden.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #E71D5E;\">The screening on 9 October at Skalvija Cinema will be introduced by Fricas, a queer artist and activist, member and one of the co-founders of the association Trans Autonomija. The introduction will be in Lithuanian.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201e<em>The film\u2019s unique visual style and Rati Tsiteladze\u2019s intimate approach reveals Adelina\u2019s sensitive inner world. It seems that her voice speaks for all those who feel unfixable, rejected and alienated in this world. Nevertheless, she dares to tell her story publicly and therefore creates space of solace for those like herself. Even if her story could not be told in her birth country Georgia, where LGBTQ+ \u2018propaganda\u2019 is forbidden.<\/em>\u201c \u2013 Eva Sinicait\u0117, curator of the Emerging Filmmakers Competition programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201e<em>For many years, the film&#8217;s protagonist, Adelina, was forced to hide. Today, she can finally tell her story. As festival organizers, we want to provide a platform for her story to be heard and reach as wide an audience as possible.
