A hit with audiences at festivals around the world, the virtual reality experience In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats takes you back to Britain at the height of rave culture. Illegal parties sprang up in abandoned warehouses and other hidden locations across the country, fuelled by the sound of acid house. Police tried to track down the raves before they began – once the party was in full swing, it was almost impossible to stop.

In this interactive experience, winner of numerous international awards, you and your friends will set out in search of a secret rave somewhere near Coventry. You’ll listen to music at home, wander through dark car parks and search for clues at lonely phone boxes until you finally find the party and lose yourself in its euphoria. Along the way, you’ll hear real-life stories from rave organisers, DJs and an officer from a special police unit. Their memories bring to life an era that changed British dance culture forever.

This work is presented as part of the NK-INTERACTIVE interactive exhibition at the Radvila Palace Museum of Art in Vilnius. The exhibition runs from 15–25 October.
