The harsh, majestic, and unpredictable Antarctic ice desert has been attracting professional adventurers and passionate scientists for over a century. Director Eric Goens, following the footsteps of legendary Belgian explorer Adrien de Gerlache, embarks on a mesmerizing expedition to one of the most remote regions of Antarctica. Located there is the Princess Elizabeth Research Station, where dozens of scientists who have dedicated their lives to measuring the health of the planet live and work. They share their risky daily activities, scientific reflections, and a firm belief that we have all the tools we need to address the urgent challenges of climate change.
