Pamatyk kine recommends: KOYAANISQATSI

We dare to say that “Koyaanisqatsi” is one of the most important documentary films in the history of cinema. This film-essay, created in 1982, instantly became a cult classic. Is humanity a wonderful miracle, created by incomprehensible cosmic coincidences, or is it a terrible parasite, consuming the Earth and itself? Or both? Or perhaps, borrowing the director’s alien perspective, we can even see the beauty that defines our dualistic, meaningless, and infinitely significant existence? This is a mesmerizing film that every cinephile must see – especially in a cinema, on the big screen. Accompanied by Philip Glass’s iconic soundtrack.
