OPENING NIGHT of the “Inconvenient Films” festival

This year, “Inconvenient Films” will open its doors right in the middle of the Parliamentary elections. And this is just one of the many elections that will take place or have taken place this year, not only in Lithuania, but also around the world. In response to the current events, we invite you to exercise your right to vote by choosing your own opening film.

The selection of the opening film will take place during the event. The winner will be chosen by a secret voting process for one of the three candidates:

• “Democracy Noir” (dir. Connie Field, 2024),
• “No Other Land” (dir. Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham, Rachel Szor, 2024),
• “Agent of Happiness” (dir. Arun Bhattarai, Dorottya Zurbo, 2024).

The vote will also be accompanied by a debate in which the three “Inconvenient Films” programme curators will present their films and compete for the votes of the audience.
