About

In recent months, the Lithuanian-Belarusian border has become one of the most important issues in the country. Once upon a time, it was a free-crossing border between the Soviet republics, and for many years it was one of the forgotten fringes of Europe and the Schengen area. The documentary captures the quiet daily life of the local population, which has been hampered by strict border controls that have separated communities, families and lives. Over the years, routine visits to neighbors, relatives, graves, and masses have become significantly more complicated due to border crossing schedules, visas, and other bureaucratic procedures.
