Adrian was born in the year of the Chernobyl accident and his mother always believed that his glaucoma and partial blindness were caused by her visit to Ukraine while she was six months pregnant. After his mother reveals the story of his birth, he decides to go to Ukraine to make a film about people affected by Chernobyl. In Kyiv, he meets Helena who grew up in Ukraine with the consequences of the disaster. They become friends, and decide to make a film about themselves, people who are dealing with the effects of what happened 35 years ago. “Everything Will Not be Fine” takes us to a journey into the past, present and future – all interconnected by a catastrophe caused by a grave human error which consequences we still feel now.
