AboutThe heat of the presidential election in Belarus and the beginning of mass peaceful protests that began more than a year ago now. Actors of the underground theater take to the streets of Minsk to demand freedom of speech and the long-awaited change of power. But the people‘s voice is brutally crushed by the regime’s security apparatus. The actors are arrested. Observing the secret rehearsals of a performance critical of the government, accompanying the actors in the protests and after them, the creators of the documentary “Courage” invite the audience to look at today’s Belarus from the inside.
