Villa Baviera, a small town with 120 inhabitants nested in the mountains of Chile, holds a dark history. A former place of a closed religious community became a place of child abuse, medical experiments, torture and even murder. Yet, years later, many of the victims still live here, with no intention of leaving. And while their experiences of the past are often similar, their strategies of moving on could not be more different: some argue the history should be discussed in deep detail, some want to forget it entirely and some pretend there was nothing out of the ordinary in the first place.
