SynopsisAs the internet finally arrives in tiny Bhutan, documentarian Thomas Balmès focuses his attention on Penyangki, a teenage Buddhist monk, whom he first filmed as a young boy. Today, the daily rituals of candle lighting and recitation of prayers include scrolling through smartphones and using chat apps. Physically isolated in the monastery, Penyangki becomes more and more psychologically involved with the culture of Thimphy city and no longer dreams, as he once did, about spirituality, but rather about love.
