The Art of Living in Danger

Germany, Iran | 2020 | 85 min. | N-16

Synopsis

Part of the documentary is filmed secretly through the car windows very carefully, because… the heroines of this film are fighting against domestic violence. Sounds strange, but the activities of a group of women in Iran seeking to uncover and address this huge problem seem dangerous to the country’s authorities. Activists collect stories of violence experienced by women on a daily basis, help victims, educate, and in the face of various obstacles they try to change the country’s laws and attitudes towards women.
