SynopsisIn the spring of 1975 The Red Khmers invaded Phnom Penh. Rithy Panh along with his family were called “new people” and became the exiles in their own country. After four years of suffering under the Pol Pot’s regime Rithy Panh managed to escape to Thailand and eventually – to France where he became a film-maker. After losing his fatherland, family and childhood Rithy Panh found a refuge in cinema: in a place which embrace all eternal exiles.
