Synopsis

Urgent and harrowing, the Syrian filmmaker Feras Fayyad with his team from cinematographer from Aleppo media center documents the White Helmets’ unrelenting efforts to save fellow Syrians, focusing on three volunteers, Khaled, Mahmoud, and Subhi. When air strikes devastate homes, they descend on the wreckage to rescue buried men, women, and children, refusing to leave their people or their city behind. While careful not to sensationalize events, the film does not shy away from the harsh realities of what it means to live through bombings.

It is a film about how people cope with absurdity, live humanism and its limits, make difficult choices and opt for consolation(s) that help the get through a daily ripping suffering in a men's world.
